Proud Recipient of the

2003 Keeping the Blues Alive (KBA) Award
Blues Club of the Year

Each year, The Blues Foundation presents the Keeping the Blues Alive (KBA) Awards to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the Blues world. Unlike the W.C. Handy Blues Awards, a popular award voted on by thousands of members of The Blues Foundation and subscribers to specified magazines, the KBAs are awarded to non-performers strictly on the basis of merit by a select panel of Blues professionals.

The Slippery Noodle, Indiana's oldest continually-operated bar (it began life in 1850 as the Tremont House and is on the National Register of Historic Places), the Slippery Noodle is home of the Blues in Indiana with live local, regional, and national band seven nights a week. Two bands are featured every Friday and Saturday night on two separate stages. Musicians who have played there include Luther Allison, Magic Dick, Jay Giles, John Mayall, Albert Collins, Buddy Miles, Charlie Musselwhite, Junior Wells, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, James Cotton, Yank Rachell, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and Johnny Clyde Copeland to name just a few. 2008 will mark the Noodle’s 45th anniversary.

Remember we have Live Blues 7 Nights a Week and a Full Menu until 11pm.

Thanks,
Hal & Carol
